Ozark Mountain Webfest (OMWF) launches one of the Midwest’s first new media/web series festivals of its kind. OMWF invites content creators to Branson to showcase their work, the Branson area, local talent and projects being produced in the Ozarks. The night before the festival kicks off, OMWF opens with a networking mixer to benefit a charity with special guest speakers and musical entertainment.
Opening day of the festival begins and ends with screenings of all festival entries. The entire day is devoted to professional panelists from around the globe with tips and advice on filmmaking–from crowdfunding to distribution. A casting workshop and a writing workshop take place on this day as well.
A special series called “Made in Missouri” introduces a panel comprised of both local filmmakers and filmmakers who filmed their projects in Missouri. Discussions are offered throughout the afternoon.
On day two of the festival, OMWF offers repeat screenings of the festival entries for those that missed any on day one.
An award ceremony concludes the festivities. The awards ceremony is open to the public and offers those in attendance the full red carpet experience! The awards will be televised as well as streamed online.
